Explain a few things.


Firstly, I want people to understand, that we as Hosts of the room, do not deny applications on the basis of the player and our relation to them, but on the basis of that person's ability to play the cannon or on the basis of the fairness to others within the room as a whole when it comes to original characters.

We are not trying to be rude or mean when we deny people on their apps. We do so because we feel that is NEEDS to be done. It's not us power tripping or being too controlling.

Now, onto something else...

As far as powerful characters go, they are wonderful to see and behold...and play, trust me i know as I love my powerful characters....but at the same time...lets not forget that along side all the great characters of any anime are the weaker, smaller, not so great characters who make the anime we love to watch worth watching. I get a lot of apps for power-house characters on a daily basis...and that's cool...but i have not once gotten an app for a weak run of the mill sidekick level type character...and that pains me....

Also...one more note needs to be made....for anime like Bleach, DBZ, Naruto, FMZ, and so on.....I understand the main characters do things other people in the said mentioned anime cant...and that is because they are the main toons of their anime and as such are the exceptions to all the rules everyone else in the anime MUST follow....

I know it's cool Naruto is all powerful and badass and that he is only a genin, BUT, he is also the main character of his OWN anime and as such, gets to be as powerful if not more so then others of a rank higher then him......

Ichigo from Bleach has a stupendous level of spirit energy and really, thus far has shown nothing is impossible for him even when it is as such for others in the show who are older, more experienced and better trained.....he does things in days that took others many many years to even grasp let alone master....but he is the main character/hero of his own anime....he too gets to break the rules....

My point is...orignal characters will NEVER BE AS GOOD/POWERFUL/GREAT/BETTER THEN the main cannons of the animes we RP....and I want people to understand this....

So, post here your comments...keep them clean and keep them polite....but be honest and explain to me what you want from the room and what you want from your cannons/originals.....because I am, thus far, happy to see people in the room and rping...but it scares me that all I see are Captains from Bleach or Espada, Jonins and Village Elders from Naruto, or people trying to play originals who are better then the cannons....so pleae, voice your opinions, speak up and be honest.

Okay here is the thing...I agree but disagreeNstuff. See, the main character in a show being godly is cool in the show and all, but this is RP. Two completely seperate things. So even if you have one of the main characters that are d**n near unstoppable in the show, that shouldn't necessarily mean that they are d**n near unstoppable in RP. I mean at the end of the day it has to be kept fair to everyone playing and all that jazz. I just don't think that any one character is unbeatable, they always have at least that one guy out there, that may not even be better than them on paper, but can still beat them every time. I also don't think it is right to write off someone's original character as being any lesser a being than the main character of a show, becuase...well for a simple and screwed up way to put it, at that particular moment they are the main character of an RP.

I agree with Gully to a certain degree.

It annoys the living hell out of me that all I've really seen in the Zoids RP (so far) are characters that are a) better than everyone else, b) knows more than everyone else, regardless what that might be, and c) no matter what you do, I can avoid it by (x) varying thing or something or another.

That aside (until I know what else I want to type) original characters should not get things dropped into their laps. Evil, this means you and Id/Kale. Just because he had the varying zoids back in the old RP, does not mean he is completely entitled to them now. Characters need/should/will EARN the use of something that powerful, regardless.

Now, I'm also going to bash my own characters here for a moment. Lucifer. He's a crazy psycho son of a pregnant dog, and I love him for it. But I'm going to be stretching things out insanely far, just so it doesn't seem I'm rushing things. Sure, if I start to be unfair, TELL ME d**nIT.

Also, it should be respected that if we RP beyond a certain point to the show, characters are already there and there is no room but to go up or down, depending on how a certain character is played. And this is for everyone, even myself. Be prepared to suffer the consequences of your actions, in RP.

I disagree Evil on the original characters thing.

Ya see, Naruto is the main character of his OWN anime....it's his name..it's his show about HIS becoming a shinobi and growing up and earning his ranks and techniques and power.....it's all about him....the entire show.....so no, original characters will NEVER ever ever ever ever ever be stronger then him....period. They have no right to. It's HIS world, made FOR him by HIS creator....we just USE his world for our own fun.

Now I am not saying our original characters can't surpass him when he's gone....just saying....right now....Naruto is IT....save for the bad guys made to be stronger then him and such and are cannons in the manga/anime....heh

My point was.....I am TIRED of seeing:

"Well I made this guy and he is WAY more then able to take everyone in the room on AND all the cannons....I mean...look at his techniques!"

or

"Well I play the cannon now and i say he lost...cause my original is better IMO..."

This is why, if I could I would just remove ALL cannons and make the room originals only...for the sake of ease, fairness and so forth...but I like seeing Kakashi run about...or TenTen be snarky to Rock Lee for Rock being a tool......or Ichigo and Rukia pregnant doging at one another......or Inuyasha and Kagome having a rant at one another before she makes him 'sit' per say.

It's the curse of cannons and originals.....both are cool is used properly...and i am fighting to maintain the balance of fun with the balance of fair...this is also why I wanted people's input and their opinions.

but you aren't maintaining the ballance of fun and fair with that. What you have just done is tip the balance completely over and give whoever plays a main cannon warrant to godmode as they please, which I disagree with completely.

Now i am not saying that every character made should be able to beat them, but come on what you just said is wrong and you should know it. You should be able to see how easily something like that can be twisted to fit the players wants, and now sadly there is no longer any point in anyone ever trying to do an RP fight scene with a cannon, since apparently you just called the outcome to it

You don't want powerful originals, don't approve them*shrugs* but don't take it one step further and just make the cannons gods. There is nothing right about that

that being said I now feel the need to go back and say something else too...some characters are strong. Coolies good for them. But the entirety of the RP universe does NOT revolve around combat. But that is the flaw of an anime based room. People get done watching their favorite anime, which is just filled chalk full of fight scenes, and they wanna do the same. It seems that now everyones C's, all of them are fighters.

peoples please make something other than a fighter for once. Yeah Naruto is a ninja RP...so make a medical ninja. In bleach make a healer, or better yet make a normal guy

In zoids make someone that isn't a pilot...still want them to be in a faction or something? Make a military strategist, or a commander, or something

becuase not all of us actually like fight scenes, and while we all have our warrior characters, I would like to see more of those characters who's entire personality doesn't revolve around the ability to fight. Hell I am even working on making more of these characters as we speak ^.^

Yer reading into it wrong. I didn't say cannons can NEVER be beaten...simply put that Originals will never surpass them while the cannon is alive dood.

IE: My originals will never be able to become better then Naruto in the naruto RP.....not that they can't 'beat' him per say....but what you want you are missing is.....

If i make a JLA rp....and someone takes the Superman Cannon.....and somene makes an original with superman like powers...you are ok with the original tooling superman??? I'm not. It's not how it should go down. He's superman...the f**king man of steel....the most famous of heroes ever to exsist IMO....and yet yer saying you, me, anyone else should have the right to make an original and just.....win? To me...thats bullnuts.

Am I saying Superman can never be beaten? No. AM I saying original characters shouldnt be allowed to surpass cannons? Yes.

Am I saying cannons are always gonna win in a fight with originals? No. Will the original ever become more important or for a lack of better words MORE then the cannons in the cannons own anime? No.

What I am saying is.....and I think it's the point you are missing Evil....and the example I will use again is: naruto, as we are all familiar with it.

In Naruto, the boy keeps getting stronger and stronger and stronger and even the other cannons training him state he is beyond their control at times......IE when he loses himself to the Fox.

So....if people like Kakashi, Jiriyama, and Tsunade and other ANBU types cant beat naruto, and they are as stated in the anime & manga the most powerful shinobi in the f**king entire naruto universe, then how is it cool for a person to make an original and do what most elite of elites in the world cant? IMO, the originals cant.

Can the originals defeat naruto in a single battle and or tournament and or maybe at a game of wits (which I find more likely then anything, the boy is DUMB after all) and can the originals out smart him as others have all through the anime/manga? Yes.

I am not saying originals are NEVER EVER gonna get powerful.....I am stating that I don't like the fact people are TRYING to make original characters whom start out so f**king powerful the player THINKS their original is unbeatable, invincible and f**king all knowing, and that sort of nuts right there is what ruins RP rooms. People trying to be better then everyone else and then making people NOT want to f**king rp or take part in the room.

It's what I am trying to stop, so yes, for now, cannons rule. As they should. They are f**king cannons. It's a fact of the rp world......

In Harry Potter......Potter wins.....why? Cause he is Harry f**king Potter and its his f**king book series.

In DC, Superman p0wns face.....cause he is the king of heroes in that universe....

In Inyuasha, well Inuyasha wins......always.....despite his being a f**king not a very nice person...cause its his f**king show....

Marvel.....well it's to f**ked up to really say one person is god there outside of the actual 'gods' but yeah, in the end the X-men always beat magneto.....cause in X-men, its their f**king book they win.

In short...if others are missing my point.....In each rp universe, the cannons win....why? IT'S THEIR f**kING WORLD, END OF STORY.

Yes, In Naruto, the little blonde haired short tempered little ninja will always win....because he is the MAIN cannon of his world....in Bleach, Ichigo p0wns.....

The only way to really 'even' the playing field is to either remove ALL cannons and make originals the only playable types around....

or

Reset all the f**king storylines to like day one and insure the originals are on the same f**king time frame as the cannons and both get to progress together....

or

Just allow people to play originals which are AS powerful as cannons and say f**k it and just let the originals beat up kill maim destroy rape and walk all over the cannons and make the cannons pointless to play or earn the right to play when you can just make an original and skip all that nuts and just be god to begin with.

See the problem? You say yer unhappy cannons are powerful.....i say I am unhappy everyone wants to make originals that surpass the cannons......you say you want me to limit people from doing that....and yet, when I do, everyone whines it's not fair and that I am limiting their creativity and rights and blah f**king blah blah.

So I made it clear....that yeah, I wanna see people try and f**king EARN their power....earn the right to stand toe to toe with a cannon and EARN that victory....just not in so many words.

Why? Because saying it like that means i am trying to control the room and force you all to.....rp a specific way where as in stead I make cannons harder to defeat...well you stop trying to beat them or invent toons who are better then them and just f**king rp....-shrugs-

I can't seem to win....which is WHY I put up this thread...to get opinions on this matter and maybe piece together answers on how to correct this problem without ya know.....going Hitler and implacing rules everywhere on everything....>.<

As a side note, the swearing was meant to be sarcastic and silly...i am in no way upset, mad or pissed...I don't want people thinking I am. I am trying to be silly about this ina serious way, to keep the convos light hearted...and as I normally DONT swear, I hought the swearing might show I was being slightly silly in my explanations.
